Rakhi : The Thread Of Love

Today from morning I am hearing rakshabandhan wishes..I remembered my college days where we used to tie rakhi to our classmates just to get the gifts ( especially chocolates)...That was for fun we did n to be frank we didnt exactly realized the meaning...But being in Mumbai, I am experiencing the warmth n love that share during raksha bandhan...Some separate shops have opened exclusively for rakhi..Those colorful rakhis are so beautiful.. rakhi making competetions are being held in schools n residence associations...I see children participate in those competetions ...This is really a colorful festival...

More about this festival....Rakshabandhan  is a festival observed in India , mostly among Hindus n Sikhs n some Muslims....This is a festival for celeberating the relationship of brother n sister...It involves tying rakhi (either handmade or readymade) by sister on her brother's wrist...This symbolizes the sister's love and prayers for her brother's well-being, and the brother's lifelong vow to protect her...

Welcome to mumbai......

We bid farewel to Hyderabad on Saturday...We had many luggages & we were worried that it would cause problems..But everything went good..As i was waiting to board my flight, i was thinking about my last 6months life in hyderabad..Everything , everymoment just flashed before my eyes. When i came to hyderabad for the first time, i was missing kerala food n Martin took me to kerala restaurants on every sundays..whenever he gets free time, we used to roam around in city..watching movies in our favourite "Talkie town"...we both loved to explore the places n try foods...soon i got a few friends n families...Family get togethers n parties..We never missed our Marthoma Sunday service also...Shopping in "Inorbit" n 3D movies in " IMAX "...Yummy " Paradise hyderabadi biriyani"...Our night walks...We will definitely miss those days...

My one hour flight to Mumbai  went good.. We reached the most populous city in India...Our vehicle was ready at the departure area..Now  2 hours travel from airport...I was having a very close look to the busy mumbai life...People are very busy walking..n some students in uniforms...Road is full of people n busy traffic..No one  seems to care about what others are doing...When we were passing the railway station road , i could see some people finishing their lunch on the roadside n rushing to get the train...Finally we reached Roha ..Our new place..Being  far away from the city, we could get the fresh air...full greeneries...n most importantly rain ...rain...rain...its continuosly raining here....

Tiny forest in my kitchen

I have been searching in pinterest for putting something green in my kitchen & i came across some amazing ideas....They really liven up the kitchen interior..

They are easy to set up  & need less space....

Collect some small plants & keep  them near windowside..Let them enjoy the sunshine:)

" Dont throw , just grow it "...save the carrot & potato tops n put them in a plate (anything of your choice) with some water and expose to sunshine for a day ot two...they start grow..They are so alive & pretty:) I am loving this idea....

You can also try growing some beans...

             Try out with onion bulbs

Smart ideas for setting up a small garden......

Hiiii again.....

Today morning i realized that i am away from my blogging world for a couple of weeks due to many reasons...I was travelling quite a lot & really did'nt get a personal time...Well i am backkkkkk......

Last few weeks were  busy  for me..Me &  Martin went to our home town Kottayam , Kerala. It was a short vacation for us n five days juz flew by...We  had a haapy time with both our homes...Attended sunday service with parents. Moreover we enjoyed the rain everyday...Being in hyderabad , sometimes we dont get to see certain malayalam movies. We utilized this short vacation to watch malayalam movies with my brother. My brother was busy packing up & getting ready to go for his MBA course in coimbatore...the same college where me & my hubby  studied ...Karunya university coimbatore...well another karunyan from our family....
After our kerala trip we had to pack immediately for our next place..Roha , a place near mumbai...Martin got promotion as manager in Pepsico mumbai n we went there to arrange  our apartment. I think i am not gonna miss kerala because the place is almost like kerala. Its far away from the mumbai city...pollution free place....full greeneries n a few beaches nearby...We are excited  about the beaches over there...Next week we are saying goodbye to hyderabad...

Beautiful flower bouquet from Martin's colleagues
